Aaand again a(nother ?) post on HN with a possible university-level exam, implying that that kind of knowledge is useful in day to day work for a developer. Na, it could be, after the mountain of obstacles of trying to get any specs, parsing incomprehensible requests and generelly fixing (other peoples) bugs etc. If you don’t do your own product, that is.
(Also I’m a bit miffed that I’d probably only get partial credit for two of the five questions, straight from memory. meh) Anyway, everyone has their niché and algo+data structures isn’t a particular favourite of mine.
